About The Santa Cruz Area

Santa Cruz California is located on the northern edge Monterey Bay, north of Montery and south of San Francisco. With it’s mild climate and proximity to the Silicon Valley, Santa Cruz is home to a diverse community of people.

Local Santa Cruz attractions include the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, The Mystery Spot, and the Pacific Garden Mall. Santa Cruz is also home to many locally owned restaurants and stores.

The Santa Cruz area is famous for it’s beautiful beaches & redwood forests, including Nisene Marks State Park, Henry Cowell State Park, and Big Basin State Park. These parks feature hiking trails, camping, and ample opportunities for photography.

Every winter, Monarch Butterflies migrate through the Santa Cruz area. Natural Bridges State Park is a natural preserve that provides a temporary home for the Monarchs from October through February.
